The Third Quarter

The third quarter of this trip was special.  On every EMI trip there is a final presentation to the ministry.  This presentation can take many forms: projectors can be used, computer monitors can be used, or drawings can be taped up to the wall.  In this case, we didn't have the luxury of using electronics for the presentation so we took the drawings and renderings and put them on the wall.  This is what that looked like.
Another item that was provided during the final presentation was a 3D model of the multipurpose building on the Rama site and the new kitchen/dining hall on the Bluefields site.  The previous EMI teams had created 3D models which essentially creates an expectation that we would create one as well.  Here are three pictures showing those models as well as a picture showing what the site in Rama would look like once various buildings had been completed.
As mentioned before, these models really give a unique perspective to the ministry.  Now they can "see" what they have been dreaming about for so long.  I believe that this is one of the important aspects to EMI's ministry: turning a dream into a tangible item, whether that be a 3D model or a set of drawings.  This is always one of the highlights of the trip for me.  When the members of the ministry see the transformation of words and dreams into a physical drawing or model, their faces light up.  I'll never get tired of seeing those reactions.
